macOS · the unidentified-developer prompt
Builds carry an ad-hoc signature but no Apple Developer ID and no notarization yet, so Gatekeeper will stop the first launch. Open it once with right-click → Open, or clear the quarantine flag. Because the build is unsigned, in-place updates are off on macOS: the app tells you a version is out and points you at Homebrew.
$ xattr -cr /Applications/Kdashboard.app
Signed and notarized builds are on the roadmap.
Build it yourself The source is public and the build is two commands. Node 20+ and Bun; electron is a trusted dependency, so the install pulls its binary.
$ git clone https://github.com/folio-pro/kdashboard.git
$ bun install
$ bun run build:electron
No account none nothing to sign up for
No licence key none nothing to enter
Telemetry none the app never reports usage
In-cluster footprint zero nothing to install or clean up
